Post Pandemic challenges for Executives and those considering new opportunities

Pre-pandemic disruptive businesses were in vogue, then the pandemic arrived, and we were truly disrupted - pretty much every aspect of our lives changed. Now in 2022, having adapted to a new way of working and as we head back into the office full time or a variation of a hybrid way of working, the wave of change is still upon us, particularly those who are seeking a new role.

So, what do these changes mean for the Executive looking for a job change? Having researched potential employers and head-hunters over the last 6 months, indications are 5 essential demonstrable skills are needed:

  • Culture change: sharing the vision, setting the parameters  and engagement with the team.

  • Stress Management: Understood the bigger picture and the effects of the pandemic on individuals, and effectively managed their own stress.

  • Agility: The ability to adapt, saw fresh opportunities, identified new revenue streams and reacted quickly and effectively.

All the above need to be clear on your CV, remembering that your CV is the key that opens the door to the opportunity. It should give a flavour of your capabilities and achievements.
