SOME NEWS FOR THE NEW YEAR

Midway through last year, after delivering a number of coaching sessions with clients, I became more aware that although menopause is in the mainstream now, communication within personal relationships and within the corporate world is still limited.

Having then explored the subject with friends and family and of course my own quite difficult experience, I decided to add to my skill portfolio and can now advise that I am now a Licensed Menopause Champion.  The training provided huge amounts of knowledge and information that I was not previously aware, despite being a "woman of a certain age."

A number of my male clients were concerned that their partners were going through a tough time but did not fully understand the detail and although trying to discuss the situation with their respective partners found it uncomfortable on both sides. I can clearly remember this with my partner, resulting in us separating for a period.

Like with all things, communication is key! Menopause is part of our life cycle although can be challenging and sometimes traumatic.

Some corporates have introduced a Menopause Policy, which is great news, however, more must be done to understand the situation, symptoms and how things can be adjusted to accommodate employees experiencing a challenging time in their personal life.

I am available for one-to-one Menopause Coaching or Corporate Awareness courses.
